PA Europe is headquartered in Brussels and chaired by Prof Dr Mark Eyskens, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium. Rio Praaning Prawira Adiningrat, who established the company in Brussels in April 1993 after a career in public diplomacy (Director Atlantic Commission/nuclear weapon deployment; Director Dewe Rogerson Europe/privatisation), is Managing Partner.

Among PA Europe’s senior advisers are several former (Prime) Ministers, industrialists and experienced regulatory experts including former European Commissioner for Internal Market and former Defense Minister Frits Bolkestein (NL), former Agricultural Minister and KBC Bank Honorary Chairman Paul de Keersmaeker (Belgium) and former Health Minister Werner Christie (Norway). The management team includes Senior Partner David Webber (former Director of Globe, UK) and Deputy Director Michaela Hauf (Germany). 

The European Union has entered a period of institutional change with a new Belgian President of the Council (while the rotating Council Presidency continues) – Herman Van Rompuy – and with a new High Representative for Foreign Affairs – Baroness Catherine Ashton – with her own diplomatic corps (with uncharted consequences for national diplomacy, international trade and investment).
